Synopsis

Unlike Paris and Marseille, the city of Lyon, the third largest in France, has no military firefighters. Only civilian firefighters operate throughout the city.

This film takes us into the day-to-day lives of these 5,700 men and women at various stations around the city. They represent the largest concentration of civilian firefighters in France.

They are in a class of their own, specially trained to deal with chemical hazards in the world's largest Seveso-classified industrial corridor.
