Synopsis

In 1936, the King of Kings, Haile Selassie, took to the podium of the League of Nations to ask the international community to oppose the Italian fascist regime's invasion of his country. But his speech fell on deaf ears.

The war between Italy and Ethiopia that raged from 1935 to 1941, although now forgotten, had an unprecedented impact worldwide and marked a significant turning point in the history of international relations.

In this tug-of-war between the Duce and the King of Kings, the shortcomings of the League of Nations became glaring.
