Synopsis

On October 13, 1917, thousands of faithful flocked to Fatima, Portugal, to witness a miracle foretold by three children. At 2pm, a celestial phenomenon occurred: the “dance of the sun”.

In a country in the grip of an anticlerical revolution, the Church seized upon these apparitions as a weapon against Bolshevism. With Salazar’s support, Fatima became a symbol of the fight for Christianity.
