Synopsis

Every second, thousands of liters of sewage and waste flow into Guanabara Bay, in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. One of Brazil’s most iconic sites is gradually turning into an open-air dump.

Fishermen, local residents, and activists are witnessing this steady decline while the authorities continue to promise a clean-up that never seems to materialize.
