			Synopsis
In the Japanese Shirakawa village, the majestic Gassho-style houses are a compelling testimony of humanity’s resilience against the elements.
The roofs are acutely inclined for blizzard proofing. The houses themselves are ingeniously oriented to avoid strong winds. Harsh conditions have inadvertently shaped them into a fairy-tales spectacle, quite romantic in winter snow.
A family runs a guesthouse, working conscientiously to share the Gassho-style warmth with countless travelers.
