Synopsis

This film commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Verdun through compelling narration and colorized archive footage.

The battle raged for 300 days in hellish conditions over an area of 100 square kilometres. In terms of strategic objectives, it achieved nothing. In the course of those 300 days, 700,000 men were killed, wounded or reported missing in action.
