Synopsis

Born into poverty in rural Nepal, Indira Ranamagar understood what it was like to be deprived of certain privileges that a child should enjoy: freedom, education, and proper nutrition.

She founded Prisoners Assistance Nepal to care for children rescued from prisons and provide services to inmates across the country.

The buffalo wagon traveling library is a project that takes children living in prison with their incarcerated mothers on book trips where storytelling, craft activities and gifts galore play a big part in compensating for lost youth.
