Synopsis

If many are familiar with Van Gogh’s famous cut off ear, fewer know of his unusual journey from Groot-Zundert, where he was born, to Auvers-Sur-Oise, his place of death.

Far from a classic artist’s career, his life was littered with impediments and setbacks that resulted in his trademark impressionism. Poverty, syphilis and alcoholism didn’t stop him from producing masterpieces and giving extraordinary force to his paintings.

This film is about the passions and torments of Vincent Van Gogh.
