Synopsis

Paul Gauguin is considered one of the major French painters of the 19th century, yet his art was not always seen as legitimate, some considered it too exotic. He drew from his trips, in Polynesia particularly, inspiring his postimpressionist style.

Between Paris, Britanny and the Polynesian islands, Gauguin’s canvasses mix artfully different cultures making his paintings so recognizable.
