Synopsis

In the middle of the Pacific Ocean lies Tahiti and its archipelago of 118 islands.

Barely 60 million years old, the two volcanic masses that make up Tahiti are surrounded by a coral reef that shelters a lagoon with warm and transparent waters and teeming with a vibrant and colorful life. In the open sea, live the great species in the still preserved heart of the largest ocean on the planet.

Tahitian society was dominated by clan warfare that often up ended in bloody battles. Javelins and war paintings are still part of men's traditional costume, inseparable from song and dance.
