			Synopsis
Every morning, raiding elephants, brazen and unscrupulous, come to devastate the plantations on which the survival of peasants in Southeast Asia depends. Men are mobilized to put them out of harm's way. How will they achieve this knowing that these conflicts are multiplying? The shrinkage of their habitat forces elephants to encroach on human territory, which was once theirs.
But a greater threat looms: isolated family groups develop an inbreeding that is worrying for the future of the species.
Solutions are devised. Take Libby, for instance, a young, domesticated female who will have to be inseminated by a large wild male.
