Synopsis

Since the beginning of time, mankind has fantasized about the red planet. Mars has become the next big goal of space exploration. Will we ever get there? What technical challenges do we face? Why Mars in particular? And why does this concern each one of us?

The exploration of Mars is not just the whim of a mad scientist. Twin sister of planet Earth, Mars suffered a disaster which completely dried up its surface. Its lakes, rivers and oceans have all disappeared, as well as its dense, thick atmosphere.

Could such a scenario happen to Earth? And how could this be avoided? Going to Mars means getting to know a little bit more about the future of our own planet and that of mankind.
