Synopsis

During the night of July 16, 2000, a gunshot is heard in the Alessandri's home. Edwige calls for help sobbing, her husband is wounded, there is blood everywhere. Burglars reportedly broke into the house and things went haywire.

At first, police investigate the break-in theory. Several suspects are interrogated but the trail doesn't pan out. The detectives are going nowhere and start having doubts: there was no sign of forced entry, nothing was stolen and there were no DNA traces of strangers in the house.

They come to suspect Edwige. Indeed, the couple had a somewhat tumultuous relationship.
