Synopsis

In the 18th century, the province of Gévaudan, which is now called Lozère and the least populated department in France, was famous for its gruesome "beast" that caused terror there. Three years of murders, nearly 100 victims, and, even today, nobody knows exactly what this ruthless killer was. But it is still haunting the dreams of a courageous population living on one of the most beautiful and harsh lands in the country.

Sophie discovers a rugged and remote territory where Neolithic man has built one of the largest megalithic concentrations in Europe.
