Synopsis
Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, the heroes of Agatha Christie's novels, are famous all over the world. Their writer, however, is shrouded in mystery.
Born in 1890 into a bourgeois family, Agatha was a precocious and fearless child. In 1914, she married Archibald Christie, a fickle aviator with whom she would have a daughter. Hurt by her husband's philandering she organized her own death in 1926. For a whole week, the young novelist went missing.
After her divorce, Agatha Christie began a life of travel. Her wealth, estimated at more than 700 million euros, enabled her to satisfy her taste for distant destinations until her death in 1976.
