Synopsis

An unknown historical figure, Anne of France, daughter of King Louis XI, played a decisive role in the history of France in the 16th century.

From her father, Anne inherited authority and the art of manipulation. These two traits allowed her to seize power which was not hers and to obtain the unification of Brittany to the kingdom of France. Through her marriage to Pierre de Beaujeu, she became head of the Duchy of Bourbon, the last great semi-independent principality of the kingdom coveted by the king of France.

In 60 years, she knew 4 kings, ruled a kingdom, educated a generation of princes and held one of the most sumptuous courts of the time.
