Synopsis

When it comes to Cleopatra VII, only the romanticized accounts of her detractors, Emperor Augustus and Roman historians have survived the centuries. Yet there is much to discover about the first Greek queen to speak Egyptian and who, in addition to restoring the greatness of her kingdom, also succeeded in taming the Roman Empire.

The last queen of Egypt seduced Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, the two most powerful men of her time. She was a remarkable and fascinating woman who ruled her country, led armies, killed, murdered and threw lavish parties, before commiting suicide, thereby marking the end of over 3000 years of pharaonic history.
