Synopsis
Riviled for being effeminate, his inconsistency or his closeness to young favourites, King Henry III, who died under the knife of a fanatical monk, is nevertheless an interesting character.
Daring on the battlefields and ready to do anything to hold onto power, he played a decisive role during the religious wars of the 16th century. Henry III did not hesitate to have the fearsome Duke of Guise, leader of the ultra-Catholics, executed in a memorable trap.
On another note, he also invented the court etiquette and introduced the fork.
