Synopsis

Daughter of Empress Josephine, Queen Hortense lived the Napoleon saga from the inside.

As a young woman, she only dreamed of romantic love and an elegant life, free from politics and power struggles. But she fell victim to her mother's shenanigans when she became crucial for Napoleon's spectacular rise and had to sacrifice her life as a woman to promote his success.

Against her will, Hortense let herself be crowned Queen of Holland, which took her away from the man she loved, the handsome Charles de Flahaut. The fall of the Empire finally forced her into exile.
