Synopsis

Muse to the greatest artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the actress Sarah Bernhardt was extravagant and eccentric.

Fearless and daring, she traveled the world, from Australia to the American West. She became the first star of an emerging art form, the cinematographer, and was at the origin of one of Hollywood's major studios, Paramount.

Sarah Bernhardt, who had her leg amputated due to bone tuberculosis, did not hesitate to go to Lorraine in 1916 to raise the morale of the troops. Above all else, she praised her freedom and made her life an actual play.
