Synopsis

The Bora is a wind fuelled by legends of the Adriatic coast that blows between Montenegro and northern Italy, particularly in Trieste.

Legend has it that a former ruler had a daughter named Bora, of great beauty and intelligence, who turned away all her suitors, one after the other. She was so smug that she saw herself above the eternal goddesses. The latter decided to punish her. Since then, Bora has remembered her past life and expressed her regrets with strong sighs.

It is these sighs that form the wind that today bears her name.
