Synopsis
On July 17, 1429, Charles VII was crowned king in the cathedral of Reims. A triumph for the gentle heir apparent who, 2 years earlier, was confined by the English to a sliver of territory. For Joan of Arc this marked the culmination of her epic journey and the weakening of her relevance.
Captured and sold to the English, she was burned at the stake on May 24, 1431. Did the King do everything in his power to free her from the clutches of her judges?
