Synopsis

Paris’ Thai community is small but has so much richness in its food like the Som Tam (green papaya spicy salad) or the Nam Tok (raw meat with roasted sticky rice). Fred learns how to cook Yam Mamuung (mango salad) and Tom Kha Kaï (coconut milk, lemongrass and chicken soup).

Fred meets war refugees from Syria and Iraq, trying to understand how important cooking is to hold on one’s roots when everything has been left behind.
