Synopsis

Maritime or mountainous, mystical or pagan, the legends of Corsica reflect a people living on a rugged island.

Local legends can be felt in the stones of each village lost up in the mountains, in the churches sheltering sacred idols, in the ochre Satan’s inlets, on the tormented face of the Sposata, in the cry of the sparrowhawk hovering above the maquis; in the side of the mountains plunging towards the sea.
