Synopsis

On December 24, 2010, a large-scale operation was set up by the French army with the support of the Afghan army to regain control of the Alassai Valley held by insurgents and a strategic crossing point between Pakistan and northern Kabul.

CPA10 commandos hide at the top of the valley in order to trap the Talibans coming from the north. But the mission does not go as planned; the commandos are spotted and the leader of the group is seriously wounded in the hand.

For 24 hours, the 16 men of the Special Forces, caught under heavy fire, have no other option but to hold on.
