Synopsis
Born in 1873, Thérèse Martin had an unusual aspiration: to become a saint. She was only 15 when she entered one of the most austere convents, the Carmelite of Lisieux, after having solicited the Pope in person at the Vatican. Once she became a nun, Sister Thérèse lived in a community of 26 women and charted her path to holiness.
She recorded her experience in an autobiographical book, "Story of a Soul", which sold 500 million copies worldwide after her death.
Thérèse de Lisieux passed away at the age of 24 from tuberculosis, but experienced immediate and unexpected glory.
