Synopsis

Two kings of ancient Egypt are featured in this episode of SECRETS OF HISTORY.

First, Pharaoh Ramses II, the powerful sovereign builder of Abu Simbel, Karnak, and Luxor, who reigned for 77 years and whose mummy is preserved in Cairo.

Next is Tutankhamun, the most famous pharaoh in history and, paradoxically, the least known. In 1922, the discovery of his almost intact tomb by the Englishman Howard Carter fascinated the whole world.
