Synopsis

By winter 1943, the swastika has been flying above Paris’ Eiffel Tower for 3 years.

Unbeknownst to the Parisians, besides Drancy, there are 3 more internment camps within the walls of the French capital. These prisons house 800 so-called "semi-Jewish" inmates forced to carry out the work of "gravediggers", i.e. sorting through belongings stolen from families of Jewish descent who have been sent to the concentration camps.

This operation was the widespread plunder of everyday items, a cousin of the more widely known looting campaign involving works of art.
