Synopsis

In 1956, Mehdi Ben Barka is considered France's number one enemy in Morocco and the independence leader and supporter of King Mohammed V is about to play a significant role in this new nation.

But in 1961, the cards are reshuffled when Hassan II comes to power under murky circumstances.

The adulated revolutionary then becomes the sworn enemy of a monarchy that is turning into a dictatorship. Hope gives way to darkness and the fate of Ben Barka bears witness to the changes in the Moroccan regime.
