Synopsis

In 1936, the whole of Europe is on the march. In Germany and Italy, the fascist regimes of Hitler and Mussolini set the pace. In France and Spain, the left-wing Popular Fronts win the day; there, the step is joyful, fraternal, sometimes even revolutionary.

But Franco's coup d'état in the summer of 1936 disrupts the rhythm by guiding the country towards a dictatorship. His enemies, the Spanish Republicans, receive international support in the form of resistance fighters, defenders of democracy.

Among them, marching with their fists raised, a new, unexpected and revolutionary figures appear: women.
