Synopsis
From the 9th to the 11th centuries, a wave of unprecedented violence swept across Europe. Vikings plundered and devastated the monasteries and villages of the kingdoms they crossed. In a matter of minutes, a haven of peace was wreak havoc. Like the day they decided to invade Paris.
While their reputation as bloodthirsty barbarian warriors precedes them, their culture is far less well-known and more refined than has long been assumed.
The Viking saga began in Norway, led by their most famous chieftain, Ragnar Lodbrok.
