Synopsis

It's a bronze statue, 3.5 meters tall and weighing nearly 5 tons. It depicts the Emperor, wearing a bicorne, frock coat, and his hand traditionally tucked into his waistcoat. The bronze was cast from 16 Russian and Austrian cannons from the 1805 campaign.

Erected for the Vendôme column in Paris, after losing its head, it was restored and became one of the centerpieces of the Army Museum.

A completely unknown sculptor created this legendary work.
