Synopsis

November 1, 1992. Eric de Vriendt is a victim of a road accident while riding his bicycle. Hospitalized in a serious condition, he receives daily visits from his girlfriend, Geneviève Montillet.

The search for the hit-and-run driver yields no results. In January 1993, just as the police officer is about to close the case, he receives a phone call from the insurance company asking for a copy of the report of the deadly accident involving Eric de Vriendt.

The problem is that the police had not been informed of the death...
