Synopsis

Philippe V, grandson of Louis XIV, became King of Spain at just 16 years old. He was the first sovereign of the Bourbon dynasty of Spain, from whom the current King Felipe VI descends.

From the Granja de San Ildefonso palace, the "Spanish Versailles" in Segovia, we discover the king's dark personality, who was haunted by violent bouts of melancholy that forced him to live as a hermit, on the verge of madness.
