Synopsis

In March 1999, an international coalition led by the United States launched a military operation on Serbia, a small country in the heart of the Balkans. In a few days, numerous bombs were dropped by NATO planes.

Today, the reasons for this intervention seem more complex than initially presented. Indeed, it appears that the United States, feeling guilty for staying on the sidelines in Bosnia and seeking to reassert its influence in Europe, launched an unnecessary operation.

This campaign, presented as a success at the time, was poorly prepared and had controversial results.
