LOVE, SEA SHELLS, AND PAREOS

The wild years of Club Med

Synopsis

In the 1950s, Club Med invented a new way to experience vacations. Beneath the palm trees, social barriers disappeared, everyone was on a first-name basis, and the party never stopped. Amid seduction, sexual freedom, and carefree living, Club Med's staff and guests turned these holiday resorts into playgrounds of the sexual revolution.

But behind this paradise of freedom lies the story of a utopian dream overtaken by its own success, consumerism, and the rise of luxury tourism.

A bygone era when holidays promised far more than sunshine: a different way of life.
