Welcome into my world
An episode from the series HOMES OF BRAZIL
250 km south of Rio de Janeiro, lies Paraty, one of the most charming and authentic villages in Brazil. Paraty was a historically important city during the Portuguese empire. Attesting to this is a wonderfully preserved period architecture build in the 17th century, which could be best described as Portuguese baroque colonial.
Paraty was preserved thanks to its isolation. The city is surrounded by forests and mountains making access difficult and, henceforth, protecting it from real estate speculators.
UNESCO recognized Paraty’s architecture as being one of the most harmonious in the world.
