Synopsis
More than 40 years after their deaths, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X remain two of the world’s most famous political activists.
Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in October 1964, Martin Luther King was the symbol of the American Civil Rights movement while, at the same time, Malcolm X was revered as an icon in Africa, where heads of state lined up to receive him.
They embodied very different dreams, philosophies and visions for America. Their political strategies were constantly opposed, publicized and orchestrated by the burgeoning mass-media of radio and television.
