Synopsis

Lu province was quite successful thanks to Confucius.

The abutting region, jealous of its neighbor's success, decided to offer the province’s ruler 80 of the country’s prettiest girls. The appreciative monarch spent entire days surrounded by these young women neglecting his duties.

Disappointed by such behavior, Confucius resigned his post as a minister and began a long march of meditation that would last 14 years.
