Synopsis

Seen as one of the father of impressionism, Camille Pissarro was first Corot’s student.

He then settles in Pontoise where he paints the French rural life, especially scenes representing farm workers, but he’s also known for his paintings of Montmartre.

Once in Paris, talented students seek him out such as Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Jean Peské and Henri-Martin Lamotte. Pissaro is also an anarchist theorist who frequents the painters who belonging to that movement.
