			Synopsis
4 million tourists, mostly from North America and Europe, visit the Dominican Republic annually. The government wants to double the country’s hospitality capacity by 2020.
But this goal might be tested by earthquakes. A huge tremor, like the one which hit Haiti in 2010, could happen in Santo Domingo, located 300 km away. Besides earthquakes, tsunamis also pose a threat to these splendid postcard landscapes.
Can the Dominican Republic meet the challenge?
