Synopsis

In the year 861, Viking ships landed on the shores of a large, snow-covered island. Floki Vilgeroarson, a warrior and intrepid explorer, led the expedition. He was not impressed by the wild nature, icy lands, and some 130 volcanoes ready to explode. He named it Iceland, the land of ice, and settled there with his troops.

Twelve centuries later, 300,000 people inhabit this unique territory. A piece of land they wouldn't leave for anything in the world. From generation to generation, they have learned to tame this fierce island and make its extreme landscapes a playground.
