Synopsis

In the mid-19th century, explorers Richard Burton and John Speke battled to discover the geographical enigma of the Nile's sources.

At that time, the Nile was navigable as far as Gondokoro in northern Uganda. Beyond that, the region could only be visited on foot, crossing vast areas where slave traffickers and other bandits reigned supreme.

This film is a journey to the heart of the sources of the White Nile, between the shores of Lake Victoria and the slopes of the Mountains of the Moon, guided by the famous people who have explored them.
