Synopsis

The discovery and settlement of the American Wild West in the 19th century is an important chapter in the history of the United States and has been widely immortalized in film and literature.

The image and spirit of the Far West came to symbolise the young American dream.

To separate myth from reality, this film visits the places where this dream was born: Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, and, finally, Texas, on the banks of the Rio Grande.
