Synopsis

The Pacific was the last maritime space explored by Europeans. In the 18th century, James Cook, in 3 expeditions, covered the area exhaustively and discovered many islands. Subsequently, many navigators made the Western world dream with their travel diaries offering visions of Eden.

Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu. Their names evoke distant and mysterious places, still difficult to access today.

This film takes us in the wake of the explorers of yesteryear to discover the reality of the Pacific islands.
