Synopsis

New Caledonia is a gem of global biodiversity, home to unique and exceptionally rich land and marine ecosystems.

The territory harbors incredible natural treasures: the largest lagoon in the world, a third of the planet's virgin coral reefs, and a rich flora of more than 3,300 species, most of them endemic. However, this exceptional environment is under threat from nickel mining, forest fires, and pollution.
