Synopsis

The decade 1965-1975 was a schizophrenic period for Italy, marked by major social changes, important reforms, and constant political upheavals.

After a lengthy battle, in 1970 the government passed a law allowing divorce.

Four years later, everything was called into question by a referendum that tore the country apart between reformists and traditionalists.
