Synopsis

The Var hinterland is the former residence of the Counts of Provence. Magnificent castles remain from this glorious past. Along the Argens, a small coastal river, Aurélie Robles meets local people who are committed to sustainable development.

In the Pays de Fayence, a women's association has decided to revive the cultivation of the May rose. Armelle Janody has set up her farm at the foot of the hilltop village of Callian. Pays de Fayence was also Christian Dior's refuge. His chateau, a truly Garden of Eden, has just been restored.

Last, but not least, Armelle takes us on a tour of some of the region's perched villages, which are coming back to life thanks to young people who have decided to set up their businesses here.
