Synopsis

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they managed to put out all the fires except one: reactor n°4 was out of control. Its core had turned into magma in fusion threatening at any moment to pour onto the tons of water pumped by the firefighters. That could provoke a nuclear cataclysm that would destroy Central Europe.

Three volunteers agreed to sacrifice their lives. They returned to the plant, opened the valves, released the water, and thus saved the world from nuclear disaster.
